Dripshipper case study

The Challenge

Dripshipper needed a reliable Shopify app for coffee dropshipping with SKU sync and white-label fulfillment. The core reliability problems were structural — webhook handling lacked idempotency, so duplicate deliveries were creating duplicate fulfillment requests, and there was no reconciliation job to catch missed webhook events. These failures were surfacing as fulfillment errors for merchants, which drove negative reviews and suppressed App Store rating. Merchant onboarding — the critical path from install to first sale — had too many steps and lacked the guided setup flow that converts new installs before they abandon.

Our Solution

We built a Shopify app with real-time SKU sync, branded packaging controls, and fulfillment automation. The webhook infrastructure was rebuilt with idempotent event handling — each event carries a unique ID that prevents duplicate processing — and a background reconciliation job was added to catch and replay missed events. The merchant onboarding flow was redesigned as a guided multi-step wizard that walks new installs through product setup, pricing configuration, and brand customization, with a guaranteed path to first-order capability in a single session.

Merchant onboarding completion rate improved significantly post-wizard redesign
White-label packaging at scale with zero branding error incidents post-launch
